You might have seen Advocates wearing Black Coats doing work inside Courts. The Black Coat is a Symbol to denote the person wearing it as a Lawyer. The Service they are rendering to the Public appears in Courts for their Clients. They will espouse the cause of their Clients before a Judge using their knowledge of Legal Provisions of Statutes enacted by Governments. There are two types of Cases, namely Civil Cases and Criminal Cases. These Lawyers would have gained knowledge in both Civil Laws and Criminal Laws.

Court Cases relating to Property Disputes, for example, fall under Civil Laws. These Lawyers will have to use the intricacies involved in Civil Laws. They will analyze these intricacies in the given Case. 


They will make the Legal Points favorable to their Clients before the Judge. By such valid Arguments, the Lawyers win the Case in favor of their Clients.


Similarly, in Cases involving Criminal Law and Police action, these Lawyers will appear for the Accused. Argue the Law Points favorable to the Accused, and get them released.


There is another type of Lawyer called a Legal Consultant. They use their knowledge and expertise in Commercial Law to the best advantage. They will not wear Black Coats and work in Courts.


Instead, they will become Legal Consultants. They can do business as Private Legal Consultants or work in a Company as Legal Consultants.

What is an LLB course?


The abbreviated Latin word LLB is expanded as Latin Legum baccalaureus" – meaning, in English, Bachelor of Law. Those who possess this Degree are advocates, Lawyers, or Leg Consultants. Students who want to become lawyers must study for a law degree. Admissions to law Courses are based on the Previous qualifications of the students. There is a 3 Years Course or 5 Years Course. 3 Years Course is for those who Passed Graduation. 5 Years Course is for those who have passed the Senior Secondary, 12th Class Examination. Students can check below the eligibility for admission to LLB Course.


Three-year LLB Course Admission


Three-year LLB Course admission is for Students who have Completed the Graduation Course with at least 45% marks. These Graduate Students can apply for Direct entry to LLB Course.


Five-year LLB Course Admission


After passing class 12th board exams, students can also apply for the LLB course. For admission to LLB Course after Class 12th, Students must have scored at least 50% marks. Students who want to join popular law colleges must also qualify for the entrance exam, Conducted for Admission to LLB Course after the 12th. According to the stream Studied in 12th Class, Students can apply for the following law courses after 12th.


BA LLB Course:

Students who studied Arts stream in Class 12th can apply for BA LLB admission 2023 Courses. All these students in this course must study law subjects and the Arts Subjects. It is a five-year Course Program Divided into ten semesters.


BBA LLB Course 


It is a five-year degree Course for Students who studied commerce with mathematics in Class 12th with 50% marks can apply for BBA LLB Admission 2023. It is a combined Law and business administration degree very useful in the Corporate world. Students have to learn business management along with law Subjects.


Bcom LLB Course


Students who passed Class 12th in commerce with or without mathematics with 50% marks are eligible to apply for Bcom LLB Admission. In this course, students get a combined bachelor's Degree in Law and Commerce.


BSC LLB Course


Students who passed Class 12th with science subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Mathematics with 50% marks are eligible to apply for BSC LLB Admission. Along with law subjects, these students study science subjects also during this five-year course. Students are awarded a combined degree in law and science.
